WHEN IM NOT MAKING SPOONS

What I get up to when I am not making spoons. The past week I had to drive to Southampton to pick up some scientific equipment and deep sea coral specimens for NUIG Galway. It was a long aul' drive but an enjoyable one. Wasn't fond of the crazy 3/4 lane roundabouts with stop lights on the motorways in the UK but came across some lovely surprises along the way. Beautiful scenery, lovely people and nice food. Best of all though was the#adventure! All in the name of #science! Here we were on our way back to Galway after getting off the ferry in Rosslare. GPS took us through some back roads and we were treated with a view of this #castle#ruins. This is the Rock of Dunamase in County #Laois #ireland . The journey was made in my trusty #suzuki #jimny and after a week of nice sunshine we arrived in Ireland to be welcomed by its lovely refreshing rain.
