BACK ONE STEP

So my recent burst of production was thanks to the community work space called "Mens Shed" and of course the networks I have quickly established here in Galway to source sustainable/ ethical timber. Unfortunately though the work space has closed down due to the building being some what of a fire hazard. This has left me with no place to work and no access to essential equipment. And the Mens Shed is looking like it won't be opening anytime soon.

For now I have converted the spare room in my apartment to continue making and creating but it's being tricky since using an axe can be very noisy and the room becomes quickly overwhelmed with wood chip and dust which then spreads to the rest of the apartment.

I will be checking up on another work space based in Barna and hopefully something can be arranged for me to continue with wood crafts at full steam. Otherwise you might find me in random location around Galway making spoons from the back of my jeep.

Taking things likely and making the best out of these situations, it got me thinking that maybe that particular work space wasn't meant to be. Maybe i've yet to find something a bit more stable and reliable. It's at times like these innovation and creativity is tested and has an opportunity to really shine, to turn problems into solutions.
